Location
This picture was a mix of two photos, taken at the beach in Sicily.Time
The photo was taken in the late afternoon on a very cloudy day. I have used a tripod because I chose a slower shutter speed to blur the water.Lighting
I love the austerity given by the depth of the horizon, by the simmetry of the composition and by the cromatic tones. I chose to emphasize these elements and the contrast between lightness and darkness with a smaller close aperture (larger F -stop number).Equipment
This was shot on a Nikon D610, with a 24-85 mm f/3.5 lens.Inspiration
I was inspired by my favourite artists on this one! I love pictures of surreal and dystopic landscapes, so I have tried to create something of mine.Editing
I did a lot of post-processing to this photo (white balance, contrast, saturation, ecc...) and, at the end, I added a 3D element, perfectly integrated to the landscape. For the elaboration of my photos, I always use Lightroom, for the Raw processing, and Photoshop, to give the right mood, adjust lights and tones and create surreal scenes. In my camera bag
Generally my basic equipment is composed by Nikon D610 body with my prefered lens: the Nikon FX 50mm 1.8, the multifunctional lens Nikon FX 24-85 mm and the Sigma 70-200mm.Feedback
Be curious. Test yourself in new experiences. Improve your skills in post processing. Take your photos with the heart and keeps every picture in your mind before to save in your memory card.
