it was a very hard and dangerous way to this beautiful place: climbing- walking up n down mountains.. one time i had to take my dog in my backpack to climb down a wall.. we were 36 hours on the road with heavy backpacks, only 2 hours sleep, im very happy that we arrived back alive (first time we did such a crazy spontaneously trip;) .. and i'm happy that i ve seen this wonderful nature..
the lake is new and still without a name. its a lake from the glacier which melts because of global warming..

Location
The photo was taken at the lake from the gauligletscher (glacier), Switzerland. 2176 meters above sea. The lake is new and still does not have a name. Because of global warming, the glacier melts, the lake grows..Time
I took 3 photos on tripod from the same place, the foreground earlier than the sky.Lighting
This place was one of the most beautyfull locations I have ever been. I wanted to show many details, so I choosed to take one exposure some hours later, on tripod, and the one for the milkyway-shot later when it was compleately dark.Equipment
I used Canon 5d mark iii, Canon 17-40 f/f, Haida polfilter, ND-filter Lee little stopper, camera remote control,Inspiration
During two days we were walking and climbing up the mountains, from 800 until 2400 meters above sea, to take shots from the wonderful nature and the milkyway. It was a hard and dangerous path. One time I had to climb down a wall, empty my backpack, climbing up again to put my dog into my backpack. He understood very well and wanted to come with me, so my friend helped me to put it in my bag. He was very quiet and full of trust that i will bring him alive down the wall. We readed in Internet before, that the tour up there will take about 12 hours, but we made a bigger tour so we did not had enough sleep. At the end we were 36 hours on the road with heavy backpacks. The only way to go to the Gauligletscher is by feet. Thats why the nature is very unaffected, around me there was such a beauty so I wish I had more time to take photos. I am very happy that we arrived back alive (first time that we did such a crazy spontaneously trip) ... and very happy that iI`ve seen this wonderful nature.Editing
Yes, I made tree exposures in RAW, (2 for focusstacking foreground, one for sky), edited in Lightroom and combined the two horizontal shots to a panorama (one more down, one more up) in PhotoshopIn my camera bag
A colleague sold me the Canon eos 5d mark iii, which i like because the good quality. I bough occasion lens. I use tripod from Fotopro. Haida pol-, graduated filter, ND filter, Lee little stopper, bag for the filters, camera remote control, spare aku and batteries, raincovers for camera, bag and me, forehead flashlight. Carbine for other stuff (for example flipflop) Sleepingbag if we stay during the night at a place, food and water.Feedback
When I arrive at a place, i start walking around and capture all the places where my feelings tells me that I like it there to shoot. Then I choose the best place and start to take photos and then I go to the other places where I liked the view before, to take exposures. After the first photo from a place, I check the live view to perfect it.
