I photographed these Sandhill Cranes taking a stroll through the Simmers-Young Park between Auburndale and Winter Haven, Florida on Friday the Thirteenth of March, 2015. So much for the superstition that bad things happen on Friday, the Thirteenth. The Simmers-Young Park is a large county park dedicated to primarily soccer fields. I was busy Kow Towing to these majestic birds when I got this shot. I believe Sandhill Cranes are large and majestic birds that lend themselves well to wildlife photography. They always conduct themselves with royal dignity.Based on the time of the year these could have been either a non migratory local pair or a part of a dispersed flock of migratory Sandhill Cranes.
