Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken while my local fire department was conducting a fire burn for training. I know the young men Because my daughter was a medic on the fire department for a bit while training to be an ER nurse.

Time

It was early part of the day as several local departments gathered for their training. It’s such an honor to witness the sincere brotherhood when they all gather before training starts and no one will be left behind.

Lighting

I was lucky that they contacted me that the house down the street was donated to allow several department to take part. Since it was early morning a lot of sun was just peaking thru the trees.

Equipment

I used my Nikon D90......with Nikkor 18-105mm.

Inspiration

It’s so exciting to witness how they light the fire professionally on the inside and then the trainees are suited up and guided in by more knowledgeable captains before them. I watch those men go in one by one with fire all around them. Thank goodness they do what they do for our safety. They all are passionate about what they do.
