Location
I was headed to my sisters' house for a birthday party, and was passing through the industrial neighborhood of my city when I noticed the sun in its' vibrancy shining on me. As I passed by a steel plant, it silhouetted against this beautiful blue sky, and I had to get my Nikon out of my bag for a shot.Time
It was around 3 o'clock in the afternoon, when the sun is most high. It was one of the more milder days in March, so I decided to walk instead of drive.Lighting
It was the silhouette of the building with the sun high above that caught my attention. With the natural framing of the trees, I couldn't resist snapping. The sun was so bright, everything below became shadowed.Equipment
I used my trusty Nikon Coolpix L110.Inspiration
Just the glory of the beautiful day, which is unheard of that time of year, was inspiration enough. The sun, trees and industrial neighborhood were great subjects with the beauty of the day.Editing
No processing, other than to add my blog name in watermark. This photo is straight out of the camera. In my camera bag
Just my Nikon Coolpix L110. I haven't gotten any extra lenses or toys for it. Yet. I have gotten in the habit of carrying extra batteries though.Feedback
I have no advice. I am still learning myself, and feel the best way to learn is practice. Shoot what you love, and try all different angles. The most awkward of angles is often the best for a shot.
