Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in Nicosia (Cyprus) near my house. It's an area where I've always loved taking pictures. A lot of my photos of sunsets in Cyprus are usually taken there

Time

It was about 5-7 pm depends on the day the sunset time might differ as I usually take pictures from the beginning until the end of a sunset

Lighting

I didn't use any particular lighting but I did take BRK shots

Equipment

Sony HX200v. No flash or other lens although the camera has an ND filter

Inspiration

I love sunsets and I always did. Each one is unique and beautiful in its own way so I always make the time to enjoy them

Editing

I merged the BRK shots using Corel Printshop Pro x6, there were some saturation, backlight and shadow\highlight adjustments. The sky was darkened a bit

In my camera bag

Just my camera and a few macro lenses

Feedback

This is essentially an HDR photo, I would suggest that a BRK merge produces more dramatic HDR photos so I would avoid the HDR feature for this type of shot. Adjust highlights and shadows but make sure to not lose a lot of details and try to have a well balance mix . Sometimes it's also good to darken the sky in order to get colours that pop and cloud details are more visible
