As lovely as this is it's a little unnerving kind 'the circle" feel to it. B/W really makes this image pop

Location
I took this photo in the swimming pool of my house in the countryside of the north of Spain. This is where I take the grand majority of my photos, because it's impossible to discover all of the wonders in the surrounding forests, fields and buildings.Time
I must of took this about midnight. My sister, cousin (who's the person in the picture),a few friends and I were all by the pool chatting that night when we decided to go for a midnight swim.Lighting
There are no lights nearby my pool, so when everyone was hoping in, I decided to go and get a torch so we could see what we were doing. I placed it by the edge of the water, and got in myself. A while later, my cousin stopped right infront of the flashlight, and I saw the opportunity. The lighting in this photo was by far the most important element, because without it I would of never achieved the ghostly appearance I was looking for.Equipment
I used my Nikon D5200 with a 18-105mm lens.Inspiration
I usually never take photos of people, because it was never my best skill. But when I saw this shot lay itself out before my own eyes, it was to good to be true. I triend the shot with both my sister and my cousin, from different angles too, but this one was without doubt the best shot.Editing
Like in the grand majority of my photos, I only messed around with the lighting and colours, mainly because I don't have the skills to do anything else when it comes to editing photos. In my camera bag
I only have the one camera and lens (Nikon D5200 with a 18-105mm lens), so when ever I go out to take some photographs, I bring these to along with me.Feedback
If you're trying to take something similar I recommend you to fosus on two important elements: First, you need to get the lighting right. If you want the mist to really come out, this is key. The other important element, for me, is the reflection on the water. You want to try and get the subject twice, swimming in the water and reflected on it. Lastly, don't try to force these photos. If they don't come out, try again. Be patient and committed!
