Great details and post processing. I am curious what kind of camera and lens you used?

Location
This photo was taken by a bright window in my house during a wonderfully sunny day, I had just finished putting on make-up and doing my hair when I decided to play with my camera and attempt to take a cool shot of my own eye.Time
This shot was captured very early in my photography career. Theimage always reminds me that, when it comes to photography, you must always be on the lookout for interesting subjects to capture. Even the most mundane, everyday things may be a strikingly beautiful image just waiting to be captured. That definitely happened to me as I was taking this photo on an early morning before I headed off for my day. I was looking closely in my mirror at my eyes as I did my make up just like I do everyday and realized how cool the dawn sunlight looked as it kissed my blue green irises. After playing with a camera for a while, I carried on with my day having added pizzazz to the morning by capturing an exciting new image.Lighting
I really wanted this image to capture the raw intensity of the early morning light that was flooding into my housing and brightening up everything around.Equipment
This was shot freehand on a Kodak Easyshare C433 camera.Inspiration
For this photo, I was simply inspired by the sheer beauty of the natural world interacting with my everyday routine. The way the light complimented my eyes that day was just to good to pass up.Editing
I made a slight increase to the brightness of the photo. In my camera bag
I religiously carry around my Canon T6i basically anytime I am going anywhere even slightly important. That thing is like my baby. I usually also lug along my 55-250 mm lens for the sake of close ups, my mini tripod, extra batteries and cool lens filters including a polarizing filter, UV filter, and two special glass filters neither of which actually fit my camera but when held across the lens break and bend the light into rainbow prisms or cool sparking effects.Feedback
The most important part of images like these is the lighting, make sure that the light is bright and bold, don't have the subject looking directly in the light but make sure they are facing the direction the light is coming from and make sure your lens is good at capturing very close subjects. Also put heavy emphasis on focusing your lens so that the whole image is caught in incredible detail. Opening you eye really wide also helps ;).
