Behind The Lens

Location

This shot was taken on a family day in our garden. Anna was happily playing under the canopy and out the sun.

Time

Taken around 3pm

Lighting

This was a natural light shot, although she was protected by a canopy which helped diffuse the light, and playing on a light coloured sheet which reflected some light into the shadows.

Equipment

Nikon D800 and Sigma 24-70mm lens.

Inspiration

My Granddaughter and her calm play.

Editing

I shoot Raw, so this shot had a very small amount of PP done through LR5.5 then saved as a Jpeg.

Feedback

this was more of a grab shot than a staged shot. But you have to be ready your camera needs to be set up, I always check my settings to the current lighting conditions before I think about taking a photo, then your ready and will have the minimum do do in set up, allowing you to confidently get the shot.
