Caught this while canoeing down the river

Took this black and white with 35mm camera almost 30 years ago. These are my son and daughters hands.

This little witch was so sad that she scared a neighbors baby.

Location

This photograph was taken at the Cooler our local ice skating rink.

Time

It was the morning beginners ice skating class.

Lighting

The lighting is what the ice skating rink used I didn't use any special adjustments on my camera

Equipment

I was using my Sony H50 to capture this image.

Inspiration

I was watching my two granddaughters in their respective groups and when I looked back at the youngest she was standing with two others from her group looking at the advanced group at the end of the rink. The looks on their faces watching the group at the far end doing spins and jumps was of total awe and I had to capture it.

Editing

No there is no post-processing of this image. I do very little post-processing, I believe that photos should be what the photographer sees through the lens.

In my camera bag

I carry my Sony H50, my Canon EOS, my telephoto lens, and a sunscreen.

Feedback

The only advice I have is when it comes to kids you have to be ready. There are so many moments that are memorable and fleeting.
