Location
this photo was taken at around 1500 meters above sea level in the Veneto region. up there the solitary beech can admire the view all the way to VeniceTime
I had climbed to the summit to photograph the sun setting over the lakes that are not far away but on my way home I came across this spectacle of colors with a small crescent moonLighting
the sun just set and the clear, cold November sky created bands of warm colours, making the lighting of the scene uniqueEquipment
I used a simple entry level Nikon camera, the D3400, equipped with a Nikon 55-300 lens. to get to the point where I took the shot I had to go down a tortuous slope in the dark so I brought as little material as possible with me. I shot without a tripod, sitting among the rocks to find greater stabilityInspiration
I love nature and I am lucky enough to live in a fantastic area; from where I took the photo you can see Venice with the naked eye on one side and the Dolomites on the other. every outing is a source of inspiration to photograph that paradiseEditing
post production was easy: just a few adjustments in photoshop to improve the shadows, eliminate noise and increase the contrast a little...In my camera bag
my photographic backpack is full... Nikon D7500 as a reflex, then lenses for every need: Sigma 150-500, Nikon 55-300, Tamron 17-50 and Tokina 11-16 some filters, remote shutter release and tripodFeedback
for photos like this the timing is the hardest part. certain colors are only available for a few minutes so it is better to plan the photographic outing calmly and always be ready to seize the moment... "carpe diem"
