Location
I took this photo at home with my son using my mobile studio set.Time
I took the photo in the early evening hours over the weekend.Lighting
I had one softbox light set up on the left of my son shining down on him.Equipment
The photo was shot with a Sony A7iii and a Sigma 50mm 1.4 Art LensInspiration
I wanted to get the kids together for a photo and of course, once I got everything together they no longer wanted a picture. So I told them, "I got all this setup, someone is getting their picture taken." My oldest, who is five finally helped me out. Thankfully he showed me some patience and we were able to get a great picture.Editing
I use Adobe Lightroom for all of my editings. I will typically choose a preset and just tweak it from there. In my camera bag
I don't have too much since it is an expensive hobby. I have my Sony A7iii and will have three other lenses which include a Sigma 50mm 1.4, and two Tamrons, a 24-70 2.8 and a 70-180 2.8. I have a 70-300 5.6 but don't typically carry it with me unless I know I need a little more reach and lighting isn't going to be much of a challenge.Feedback
Have fun and take your time. If you are a photographer, creativity shouldn't be much of a challenge for you because chances are, you wouldn't be doing this if you weren't a creative person. If you have someone that can be a great model for you, try different poses, scenes or ideas. Never stop being creative.
