Behind The Lens

Location

I took this photo sitting in my father's chair in the kitchen. We had just recently lost my father and this is one of the flowers that was in the granddaughters bouquet arrangement from his funeral.

Time

I took it I believe around 6 pm close to the time he passed away.

Lighting

As in all of my photos I use lighting in my unique way for each photo but this one I used my father's hat at a distance to provide a slight change and tried to have his chair placed as if was in to try and incorporate his spiritual light into image

Equipment

I used a canon PowerShot

Inspiration

Taking photos of flowers and arrangements from my father's funeral. Being a photographic artist allows me to dive deeper the more I upset I am seems to allow me to connect even more with the natural beauty and see the story it reveals to me in images I can relate and understand.

Editing

I did crop image a little so the background was not a distraction away from the man in the flower.

In my camera bag

My camera papertowel incase dirty and I just use what is naturally occurring most of the time

Feedback

To remain openminded and true to oneself, be a child and imagine if you was the object being photographed and remember that spirit flows through everything and connect yourself with it. Nature will reveal an image to you that you connect with
