It's been about a week since I sat down to write, but this morning, I was inspired to write about yesterday, so here it is:
I woke up this morning full of gratitude.
For life, family and friends, and a positive attitude.
The birds, the bees and the beautiful spring breeze,
Sunshine & clouds in the sky, for hellos and goodbyes
People coming, people going, and the lessons in between.
For all of life’s surprises, for the seen and the unseen.
My life is not perfect, but perfection is not best,
lessons aren’t learned if things aren’t a mess.
It’s the messiness of life that teaches us all.
We must learn and get back up when we fall.
I’ve learned to be thankful for all that comes my way,
For in staying positive through all the challenges, I learn day by day.
Why we’re here is anyone’s guess, could it be a test?
To be grateful and learn as we go, to teach and serve, and to share what we know.
Focus on the good, and learn through the bad. Be happy, don’t waste time being sad.
I welcome the challenges that come this day, my gratitude is deeper than words can say.
