Location
This photo was taken from the port side of the Marella Explorer cruise ship as we sailed up the Fjord towards Olden in Sept 2019.Time
I absolutely love this photo. I was up early about 06:00 as I was every day to watch the amzing sunrises every day. But this particular day there was a low hanging mist to sail through as it hovered above the water it was quite surreal to see and had an eerie quiteness to it ( little spooky if I am honest)! It was definitely a different kind of sunrise that morning but so pleased that I was able to capture the beauty of it.Lighting
Although I made the photo black and white to capture more of the surrealness the only colour there was a small amount of reflected sunrise on the water.Equipment
This was from my Huawei P19 Smart Phone!Inspiration
The holiday in general was inspiring every mountain, every sunset and sunrise was breathtaking. But this photo actually inspired me to take phtography more seriously when I returned from the holiday as I thought if I get photos like this with a phone I am sure I would be able to get some really good photos with a decent camera so now I am out about all the time with the camera looking for more inspiration.Editing
The only thing altered about this photo was to make it black and white in the photo editor. In my camera bag
At the time of this photo all I had was my phone. Now I have a Nikon D3100 and have 3 lens I carry around with me; Tamron 75-300 (used the most) Nikon 55-200 and a Nikon 18-55. A few different sizes of Macro filters, spare batteries(vital).Feedback
This was really an "in the moment" shot. There could be no preparation for it and I certainly didn't have a camera at the time. But I suppose like anything you want to photograph be patient, take lots of shots and just enjoy yourself.
