Behind The Lens
Location
This photograph was taken in the community park in Delhi. I am learning photography online from youtube, udemy and by following the work of some accomplished photographers.Time
This photograph was taken in October, 2019 on a family outing. While my wife was playing with our toddler in the park, I indulged myself in clicking close-up photographs of flowers. It was forenoon and the weather was partially cloudy and pleasant.Lighting
It was shot under natural light. The clouds helped in diffusing the late morning light and rendered a soft light overall.Equipment
I shot this photograph with my Nikon D5300 with an 18-55mm kit lens attached, handheld and without flash.Inspiration
The idea of going to the park was clicking some photographs of my wife and son, the people, landscape and the flowers. The red of the colours caught my attention and I went closer to take a close up shot.Editing
Yes. I had cropped it, added some contrast and clarity. In my camera bag
I carry my camera body, a dedicated macro lens, a 24-120mm lens, a 50mm, a flash and a lens mount diffuser.Feedback
If one is shooting flowers, one must have have first hand information on the variety of flowers as per the season. Try to avoid flowers that are too bright. Try to find a clear background devoid of noise, and complimentary to the colour. Like if the flower is red, a green background is complimentary.
