This was my wife's favorite flower in or garden. She passed away 4 years ago after 49 years of marriage. This photo was the result of a challenge from a photo group I belong to. The challenge was to produce an image that meaningful to you. The background is one of my wife's blouses that I have since given to charity. The setup was my Nikon D850 with my Sigma 105mm lens with Lensbaby Omni filters attached. Thank you for all the nice reactions.

Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on my kitchen table.

Time

The light here is late afternoon sun coming through my kitchen window.

Lighting

The lighting here was simple. I rarely use anything but natural light.

Equipment

I used my Nikon D850 mounted on a tripod with a Tamron 180mm macro lens with Lensbaby Omni filters attached.

Inspiration

This tulip blooms in my garden every year and was my wife's favorite spring flower. The background I used was one of my wife's blouses.

Editing

Only processing used here was a slight crop.

In my camera bag

I always carry my Tamron lens and various Lensbaby lenses and filters.
