Behind The Lens

Location

The photo was taken near the veterinary clinic where I work.

Time

In Madrid, Spain, in full confinement due to COVID19, on April 21, ending the last appointment we had that day, at approximately 7:30 p.m. this kitten appeared to ask us for food, of course we fed her and I took the opportunity to take some photos.

Lighting

I always use natural light, in this case it was the evening lights.

Equipment

Fujifilm X-T10 and Carl Zeiss Biogon 28mm f2.8, no tripod or flash was necessary

Inspiration

The situation in Madrid due to COVID19 was very dramatic, a very strict home confinement and we only worked essential services, the tenderness of this stray cat to ask for food caught my attention.

Editing

I always shoot in raw and jpg, in this case I made from the camera itself a film simulation of acros and red filter, which is usually my favorite for street photography. I didn't need any additional software.

In my camera bag

I have several bags, one at home, another at my clinic, in this case, I always have in my clinic the small XT10, with several objectives, Biogon 28mm, Flektogon 35mm, Hexanon 50mm, Orestor 100mm and a Sonnar 135mm.

Feedback

The right moment in the right place with the ideal scene.
