Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was created with a group of friends, one of them, Catherine, the girl with this magnetic eyes.

Time

This photo was made last January, late in the evening, with the sun falling down behind a big wall.

Lighting

I love to shoot natural light :)

Equipment

Nikon D610, Sigma 70-200 f2.8, no flash, no tripod. Just the camera in my hand.

Inspiration

Essentially her eyes and expression.. loved the moment she looked at me that way. That was the moment... and I was there ;)

Editing

Yes, I use photoshop for post-processing. Added a little bit of contrast and frequency separation for the skin.

In my camera bag

On location I basically use mycamera and a single lens (tipically Sigma 70-200) On studio I have a lot more stuff.. studio speedlights, softboxes, sekonic...

Feedback

Practice a lot, try different angles until you find the one that you love. Talk to people about what they love, they will give you their best expression while talking about things they love... It's not easy at the beggining, but it's whorthwhile...
