Honestly jealous, seems like people always get in the way when I want to take these kinds of l.e. Shots. Beautiful work.

Location
This photo was taken at Robinson Falls in Boch Hollow Nature Reserve in OhioTime
I got to this area when it was still dark and was hoping for some morning light once the sun roseLighting
I arrived first thing in the morning and was hoping to get some light rays through the trees shining on the falls. It ended up raining out and being an overcast day. I ended up happy with this because the low light and rain gave the area a moody feel and saturated the colorsEquipment
Shot on Nikon D500 with Tamron 18-200 all in one zoom, manfrotto tripod and no flash required.Inspiration
I wanted a landscape photo that gave you the impression you were no longer in Ohio. This area is so rich with colors and the sleekness is the walls of the gorge made me feel like I had transported to the rainforest.Editing
The saturation was increased to show off the rich green moss and remaining orange fall leaves. The water is a crystal blue and did not require any editing. I also brought up the shadows a bit to show of the curves of the wallsIn my camera bag
I also carry my Tamron 18-200 for landscapes, my Tamron 90mm macro lens, and my Tamron 150-600. You never know what you may be shooting that day!Feedback
You can plan ahead as much as you want but Mother Nature always has her own ideas. I make sure I am prepared if it’s a rainy day, sunny day or cloudy day. This waterfall I was hoping for morning light with some sun rays leaking through but was met with rain and clouds instead. I worked with the conditions I had and even though the end result wasn’t what I originally wanted, my perseverance paid off and I feel like I got the best shot I could for the conditions.
