Location
I shot this photo in a sea cave on the shore of Lake Huron in Bruce Peninsula National Park, a lovely park in Ontario.Time
It was late morning on an unseasonably warm day in May. The air in the cave was cool, and light filtered into the cave, casting an ethereal glow.Lighting
The main light source for this shot was coming through an underwater archway that led out to the open waters of Lake Huron.Equipment
I shot this photo with a Canon Rebel T5, a Sigma 17-50mm lens, and a tripod.Inspiration
I was inspired by the otherworldly quality of the color and lighting inside the sea cave.Editing
I did a few minor exposure adjustments on this image in post process. In my camera bag
I normally carry my Canon Rebel T6i, a sigma 17-50mm lens, a Canon 17-300mm lens, a gorillapod, a neutral density filter, and my gopro hero 4.Feedback
I shot this with a basic long exposure technique. My advice would be to carry a tripod and neutral density filter for situations like this, and play with your exposure settings until you get a feel for what level of silkiness you want to achieve in your seascapes.
