This photo was taken in the backyard of the house I called home for almost 9 years.Time
This was taken around 11 AM. The kids wanted to be outside but found it too hot so I started to fill the mini pool and my youngest at the time wasted no time in climbing in and playing with the hose.Lighting
Not really, as this was a spur of the moment capture outside the lighting is completely natural for a warm August morning.Equipment
Honestly this was taken with my phone. I believe it was a Samsung S8. With kids running all over the place and the cost of caring for them being as high as it is I've not been able to afford an actual camera as much as I dream of having one.Inspiration
As this was a spur of the moment photo it was simply I saw my daughter had jumped in the pool and was playing with the hose and I liked the way the water was splashing.Editing
No, this was back when even a subtle edit wasn't something I wanted to even attempt. I would tell myself that editing no matter how small would ruin the picture. Thinking back now I realize that i was silly and subtle edits can really make a picture pop in ways that it wouldn't otherwise. In my camera bag
Having no camera if I take family or friends for pictures I ensure they have multiple outfits maybe some accessories and I make sure I have my phone which now is the Samsung S21 and a portable power bank.Feedback
Play with the water watch how it reacts to different stimulus. Find what works for you. If you want to have a kid in the photo have them play with different items like balls, buckets, hoses, strainers etc. Different items and motions will create different shapes and reactions with the water.
