This sunset occurred several weeks ago when we were getting a lot of rain. It is not a colorful sunset but awfully powerful nevertheless.

Location

Taken while aboard the tall ship Royal Clipper during our 2nd Grenadines cruise. We were positioned in various places around the ship in a tender that carried passengers who wanted to take photos.

5:30 pm, jan 1, 2018

Lighting

we had subdued lighting from the heavy cloud cover and I liked the cloud array very much

Canon EOS 5D Mk IV, lens EF16-35mm

Inspiration

a rare opportunity to create a photo of a beautiful ship in a great setting!

Editing

very little post processing was done

In my camera bag

for travelling overseas I take only my Canon 5D and a couple of lenses

Feedback

it is not easy to take a picture from a boat with a bunch of people in it getting in your way. sometimes you have salt water spray, and ythe boat is in not the right position, gotta be patient!
