Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken on the southshore of long island after super storm Sandy came across and served Long Island a beating that would go down in the history books

Time

As the sun was setting across the horizon, and the clouds were rolling in created the perfect set up for a long exposed shot

Lighting

There was something about the wispy clouds that I found interesting to draw a viewers eye into the abandoned/wrecked ship. The lighting came from the accented sun and the backlit clouds

Equipment

This was shot with the reliable Nikon D7200, with my go to lens at the time the Tamron 16-300mm set on the rocks on a tripod

Inspiration

The inspiration behind the shot is simply the name of the shipwrecked boat "Instant Karma" When a Super storm comes wrecking through the area it make doe a perfect set up "you are never promised tomorrow"

Editing

Upon uploading this photo to Lightroom, I thought it would be an interesting theme when turned into a blak and white photo

In my camera bag

Nikon d7200 and/or a Z6 along with tripod and filters, but you cant forget the DJI drone

Feedback

There is never wasted click, as you develop your skill set the number of clicks start to decease. So with that said "If you are not out photographing something you wont increase your skill level
