Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken from my front porch of my house.

Time

It was almost dark out but the overhead thunderstorm definitely didn’t help to brighten things.

Lighting

I used my flash camera while it was vertical which created this one side light one dark because the flash was blocked on one side by the lens.

Equipment

My camera of choice is a Nikon D3400 with a NIKKOR 15-55 mm lens.

Inspiration

I like the outside lighting opportunity supplied by a dusk time setting. The rain falling on the flowers sparked my interest on the plant.

Editing

I did some simple adjustments with color to brighten the vibrant purples of the flowers

In my camera bag

I usually have 2 lenses(15-55, 70-200), and a light weight tripod.

Feedback

Sometimes getting close provides some nice detailed opportunities.
