The photo was taken in “Urban Lights” it’s a public art installation in front of LACMA in Los Angeles, CaliforniaTime
My husband (in the picture) and I arrived right after sunsetLighting
I took it by hand with no tripod and no special exposure, took my time looking at it and editing the light and shadows until I felt satisfied.Equipment
I used my Canon EOS Rebel T6i with a 18-55mm lens, no tripod, no flash. Obviously in RAWInspiration
I walked around the installation several times, took a couple of pictures of the hallways with the light, there were several people around taking selfies and pictures of themselves, I took one with another person standing, posing for a friend with a celphone, and decided to look for a more clean space and have my husband stand at a certain distance for composition and just look “relaxed”Editing
Worked it in lightroom, shot in RAW so just adjusted exposure and shadows so it would look more dramaticIn my camera bag
Always bring my only camara, Canon t6i, kit lens 18-55mm, 55-250mm lens, and prime 50mm f/1.8 I usually bring my adjustable nd filter and lens cleaning kitFeedback
I’ve learned to include characters in any picture, the more natural and relaxed they look the more attractive and relatable the surroundings seem, play with light and shadows, this gives it a sort of drama and mistery to the photograph
