Location
This photo was taken in Downtown Providence, RI.Time
I was out for a late afternoon walk with my camera. The light and style of this old building just caught my eye.Lighting
I wanted to emphasize the age of this building. It is one of the first in Providence during the Industrial Revolution.Equipment
I used my Nikon D5300 with a vintage manual focus 70-200mm Nikon lens.Inspiration
I love old architecture and the details on this building just caught my eye that day. Considering the age of the building, it is amazing how detailed and intricate the building is.Editing
I try not to over process any of my photos. I adjusted the angle and made it black and white. I wanted to bring out the age of the building so I increase the clarity quite a bit and brought the contrast up.In my camera bag
My bag always has my camera body, a battery charger, lens cleaning kit, business cards and my 3 favorite lenses. I use all Nikon lenses, and 18-55, 50mm, and 70-300.Feedback
I like to try and capture everyday things from a different perspective. Don’t be afraid to move in close and fill the screen with what ever you are capturing. Also try getting up higher and going lower. Do something that other photographers won’t do and you’ll capture images no one else is willing to get.
