My first trip to Africa...I met Sheba. She was orphaned at a very young age, the hand-raised in the central highlands of Kenya. Sheba had a keeper 24-7. He taught her to hunt, to play and to be a Cheetah in the wild. Sheba was released back into the wild and has now become a mother successfully raising her own cubs. Sheba still visits her former human-family, but goes back to the wild each time. While sitting with Sheba, she purred just like any house cat...cheetah the only big cats that do purr.
