Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in the rehearsal hall of the art school at the request of a girl who dreams of becoming a professional ballerina

Time

Since in the morning and in the evening at school there are dancing classes, the daytime was chosen for the shooting. The picture was taken at 13:54

Lighting

In the dance hall there are several large windows and a large mirrored wall. The light of the sun did not fall directly into the windows, but was scattered enough. The girl was sitting at the window with her back to the mirrors, which acted as reflectors, softening the shadows

Equipment

My camera Canon 1100D. The lens that was used in this survey Canon 18-55mm kit. No other equipment was used. I dream of a good full-frame camera))

Inspiration

I really like the photos of dancers. Frozen dance is an amazing sight. And I always dreamed of such photos. I especially like ballerinas. They are so tender. And as soon as I was asked to photograph a young ballerina, I immediately agreed. The girl does not know how to dance the way professionals do, but she wants to dance. She tried very hard to pose.

Editing

The photo was processed in Photoshop. The walls of the dance hall are very old, covered with cracks and pasted with pictures, and it was not necessary in the picture. Therefore, the walls were "repaired" and a bit blurred by the photoshop.

In my camera bag

I love creative experiments so in my backpack often there are old Soviet lenses, Helios 44-2, Jupiter 37A. Also, I almost always carry Canon 50-250mm
