Location
This photo was taken underneath a block of apartments in Singapore.Time
This was an early morning shoot. Anytime later in the day would be too hot for both the model and me as the photographer (it gets REALLY humid!) On this particular morning, the main challenge for us (the rest of the photographers) was to find ways to keep Taylor (our lovely model) cool. We had to take multiple short breaks for her to touch up her makeup, and to wipe away her perspiration. She took it like a champ!Lighting
Taylor has a stunning face (and an even more stunning smile). All I wanted was to capture her features as best as I could. There wasn't any planning for this shot; she was looking at another photographer, and I happened to be by her side and saw her profile.Equipment
I used my Olympus OMD EM1 MK1 with the M.ZUKIO 40 to 150mm f2.8Inspiration
It just happened!Editing
I'm not a fan of over editing photos; I like them as natural as possible. The only editing I did for this shot was to remove some stray strands of hair from her face. For the overall colour treatment, I applied the Mastin Labs Pan F-35mm preset. In my camera bag

I'd say experimentation is the key. I often catch myself being overly obsessed with one particular "look", which can be somewhat limiting. Try different angles and approaches, even if it breaks all the "rules" of photography; you just might surprise yourself! Oh... and have fun!
