Inspiration

I met this little boy and his family during a camping trip near a river at Narrabri NSW. They are a droving family who drove cattle all around Australia. The little boy in this picture is home schooled and loves to drove cattle with his family when he is not studying. He got down in the river with the bull to hunt it back to the herd to be put into a yard before night. I find it so fascinating on how connected he is with nature and its animals. As a kid I was raised on farms with my family who also drove cattle from time to time. I already had my camera out during this time taking pictures, saw the opportunity and went for it.

Editing

I used lightroom to lighten the shadows in the picture and enhanced the clarity. I also changed it to Black and white.

My Nikon D5100 camera with an 18-55mm lens.
