Location
This image was made in Leitrim, a remote county in Ireland, also known as the forgotten county.Time
Ireland has up to 18 hours of daylight in the summer. This image was taken at 11 a.m. in June.Lighting
This is natural light at the edge of a forest.Equipment
I use a Canon 5D Mk III, with a Tamron 24-70mm F/2.8. I like the image stabilizer on this lens for hand held shots such as this one which was taken up a ladder.Inspiration
I work very closely with the people that I photograph to find shared experiences. This was my second two day shoot with Gem and we found a resonance in the mythological figure of Asteria.Editing
Not a lot of post-processing in this image...some tweeking in Photoshop RAW and from what I can recall, probably a little adjustment in Selective Colour. In my camera bag
Canon 5D MkIII with Tamron 24-70mm F/2.8. I also carry a Canon 50D with a Sigma 30 mm F/1.2 for shallow DOF. I have a portable Neewer Strobe and a Canon 430 Speedlight.Feedback
Get to know the person that you are photographing. Take pictures About people, and not just Of people.
