Behind The Lens

Location

Vienne River, the City of Chinon at sunset

Time

I was done for the day and was headed back to the station as I was shooting from the morning in Chinon in overcast weather. On the way back I suddenly realized that the sun began to sneak past the clouds and the beautiful colors of sunset started to reveal themselves. I turned back and headed to the river and was welcomed by this scene.

Lighting

It was an overcast day with a glimpse of light from the setting sun sneaking past the stormy clouds

Equipment

Canon 6 d, Tiffen grad ND filter, Canon EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM Zoom Lens and Velbon Sherpa tripod

Inspiration

The lighting and the fog with the juxtaposition of the boats were the things that attracted me to take this shot.

Editing

Camera raw adjustment in adobe camera raw.
