The water was an Erie color of green when normally it is very clear. This lake is very large so it can really turn up and just so happens the clouds were quite angry so it made for some really cool lighting.

Location
In Sandpoint Idaho in the early spring when the water was still at low level prior to being raised near the usual Memorial Day lake rise.Time
This was around 10:30 in the am. A brisk blustery day made the water an intense color of green.Lighting
The natural lighting was amazing that day as a storm was approaching.Equipment
Surprisingly I took this image with my IPhone but normally use my one of my Canons.Inspiration
The amazing colors of the rust colored sand and the intense cloud coverage along with the cool color of green in the water made up from being stirred from underneath. There is a lot of clay in this area and I think that is what made the unique color.Editing
I did use a program called Enlight that I added one filter. Otherwise it was all natural. In my camera bag
I do many hikes with my dogs, so the lighter equipment the better so I use a Canon S120 takes great shots as well as my trusty IPhone. I know you'd expect more but i can capture enough of a high res photo with the canon for great print quality.Feedback
I would say go out when it's not the best of weather to get the more dramatic lighting shots. When there are just touches of sun poking through to give your shot some good dynamics.
