Location
This photo was taken at a bus stop. It was in the dead of winter and my friend and I were taking pictures trying to keep warm until the movie theater opened.Time
This was taken at about 6:30 in the evening.Lighting
There were two lights in the ceiling of the bus stop shining down in a very beautiful way. I turned the exposure on my camera as low as it would go and turned the flash off so the only lighting would be from the ceiling lights. I wanted an element of mystery and only a silhouette of my friend.Equipment
This was shot on a fujifilm x100 on monochrome setting with very low exposure, to highlight the lighting in the bus stop.Inspiration
We were walking around trying to keep warm, and we passed a bus stop with what I thought was very beautiful lighting. I told my friend "Hey! Sit over there!" I started taking pictures, adjusting the exposure, ect. I was only able to take a few, because my friend was whining at me that the bench was cold.Editing
The only post processing adjustments I made was darkening the contrast. In my camera bag
I carry around my extra battery and some snacks.Feedback
Have a friend willing to sit in a cold bus stop with cool lighting while you take pictures of them.
