My neighbor had this beautiful garden in which she would make bouquets to sell and I would go over and photograph to my hearts content!Time
I think it was in the afternoon...being out in the country with this beautiful garden nearby makes it easy to find some wonderful photo opportunities!Lighting
I didn't worry to much about the lighting the sun was in a good spot and I was making sure there weren't any shadows being casted in the photo that shouldn't be there.Equipment
I was using a Nikon D40 18-55mm f/3.5 lens.Inspiration
Just walking around in the garden with all the beautiful flowers growing, I just wanted to be able to capture their beauty!Editing
If anything I may have cropped the photo but other than that, I don't think that I did anything to enhance the photo. In my camera bag
I don't carry much with me, its just my camera a Nikon D7100. The lens that I usually use is the AF-S Nikkor 55-300mm 4.5 because I like those distant objects to be a little closer. I also have AF-S Nikkor 18-55mm 1.3 for getting more scenery in the photo.Feedback
While walking through the garden everything was in 10ft narrow rows and I was trying to find a way to make it look like it was just these flowers growing in the garden. So when I knelt down and looked through the lens I saw that I could accomplish that look from where I was kneeling. So I would say that as a photographer you need to look for other positions-standing, kneeling, laying down to get the shot that you are searching for.
