I so love this image. Just beautiful. Love the tulle skirt too. It's absolutely divine. :-)

Location
This photo was taken on the island of Oahu. I like to step away from the beach sometimes and create a scenery you wouldn't normally see on the island.Time
I believe we were there about an hour before the sun sets. I remember thinking omgosh the sun is gonna destroy this set. But luck would have it the clouds came rollin' in and blocked out the harsh light from the sun. The island weather is hard to predict but its amazing when it goes in your favor.Lighting
I normally bring a reflector with me but the wind was making it hard to control. SO we ended up going completely with natural light.Equipment
I own one camera a nikon D700. I also only own one lens, a 50mm 1.8 I'm not very fancy or super into gear. The art is really what its all about for me.Inspiration
I have been missing the changes of the seasons since moving to Hawaii. I played around with a winter set previously adding snow to Hawaii, its kind of funny. With this set I wanted to incorporate a fall look and feel with the whole orange glow and falling leaves. That was important for me.Editing
I always start with lightroom. I tend to shoot underexposed purposely because I can reach the look I want better. Lightroom is amazing for fixing simple exposure, shadows, highlights and all those little tweaks that help with color and light. From there I move the file to photoshop where I spend most of the time on my photos. After that they go back into lightroom. lightroom is great for organizing as well!In my camera bag
Nothing special, Just my Nikon d700 and my 50mm 1.8Feedback
First off I'd say work with someone you really vibe with. Also bring an assistant to help get that hair and dress moving. Be relaxed and enjoy yourself, thats when the magic happens.
