Behind The Lens
Location
The hubby and I went down to Pier 4 Park and took a walk around the bay. We have many nesting swans in our city, and this mother was watching over her babies. She got up from her eggs long enough to adjust them, and I snapped the photo.Time
It was early afternoon, when the sun is warm and it's best for hiking.Lighting
It was the perfect time of day to use the natural light. With it being afternoon, the sun was on the right side for the shot.Equipment
I used my Nikon camera. I was using the factory setting on automatic, with no flash, tripods or lenses.Inspiration
I felt like I was witnessing an incredible moment, when the mother swan rose from her eggs to adjust them. It was nothing I had seen before. To see how gentle she is, nudging them with her beak. As a mother, it was a tender and beautiful moment.Editing
None.In my camera bag
I am not a professional photographer, by any means, but as a hobby my Nikon goes everywhere that I do.Feedback
Sometimes you need to have patience for a shot. You may have to sit and watch for a bit to wait for a moment such as the one I have captured. In the end, it will be worth the wait.
