Behind The Lens

Location

This photo was taken in outskirts of Bangalore, India. It was taken from a hide set up for the purpose.

Time

I was sitting in the hide for about 3 hours from afternoon 3pm to 6 pm.........and took this picture during that time.....this particular click was at about 4.30 pm as i see from metadata

Lighting

Only natural sunlight was used and since it was evening i got a beautiful light i suppose

Equipment

I used Nikon D800 Camera body with Nikkor 80-400 AFS Lens on a tripod.

Inspiration

To be frank i had not planned this shot...it just happened as i was waiting ready with my equipment inside the hide in anticipation of action

Editing

Yes i have done some basic processing like Cropping...Contrast...Sharpness......noise reduction....shadows.....bit of exposure etc........using Adobe Photoshop CC

In my camera bag

I have Nikon D90....Nikkor 80-400 AFS Lens ....18-105 Nikkor and a Nikkor 50mm 1.8G lens with a tripod

Feedback

We have to study the habitat...birds available therein and study their behaviour before we set up a hide to photography them without disturbing them
