This photo was taken on a morning walk with the dog (a very pretty german sheperd's lady) I had lived with at that time. There was a meadow close by where we used to take the morning walks. This was a specifically beautiful morning, it was wet and cold and that's why the mist had covered all of the area, which was left in between two residential areas equipped with family houses. The whole scene within the suburbs of Berlin.Time
Early morning, the sun was just rising. That's how I could spot the web, luckily. The sun rose and painted sky and earth in a pastel pink. As it had been raining the night before everything was moist and glazed in a reflecting coat. I always wondered whether the spider enjoyed the sunrise as much as I did. :)Lighting
It was a moment of luck and good timing. I like to take shots with objects in the front and have a little lighting behind it. This makes the shaping a bit soft, which I like. And I always like to think that one can capture the atmosphere of a moment with this kind of photography. It's like it can take me back to that one specific second and feeling of the moment taking the shot. Or maybe even before taking the shot. The moment when you realize that there is a certain beauty in what you witness, when you get calm and enjoy the scenery - just before grabbing for the cam.Equipment
Poor old Sony alpha from 2008 (but the shot is from 2012 I think..)Inspiration
Hmm..not sure. What is it? The gratefulness of witnessing the moment, I suppose.Editing
Yes. I cut the picture a bit to get the web more centered. In my camera bag
Same poor old Sony alpha from 2008 :)Feedback
Have an open mind. Get lost in the surroundings and don't go hunting. The most beautiful things will come to you without looking for them. (Wow, that must have been said by somebody before me, right?^^) Take care & good luck!
