That photo was taken at the beach in Tel-Aviv, Israel, where I live. And that city is pretty much a love of my life - cause it's a perfect small big city that has it all, and most important - that city has a soul.Time
It was a winter windy and rainy noon, very cold, and obviously there was no one at the beach. It became wild and free and it was just beautiful.Lighting
The storm was coming, and the clouds began to become heavy grey contrasting the white sea foam and the stairs of the rescue hut. I knew I just had to catch the moment of the very natural lighting before it goes away.Equipment
Unfortunately, I didn't have my camera with me, but I didn't want to miss the frame, so I took that picture with my Galaxy S4.Inspiration
I was overwhelmed by the endless power of the nature - the storm, the waves, the abandoned stairs of the rescue hut that no one needs at that season. It was like seeing for a moment a true nature of things that are beautiful and strong, much stronger that we use to believe.Editing
Since that photo went instantly to my Instagram account, I didn't do much post, but I did increase contrast level and got saturation down a little bit.In my camera bag
I'm not a professional photographer, but I like to take pictures a lot. Usually I use my simple Canon EF-S 18-135mm or 50mm 1.8. But to be true, I make a lot of photos with my phone camera (still Galaxy S4) cause I believe that photography is about seeing things and sharing your feelings through the frame.Feedback
Just open your eyes and your mind. Yea, good equipment may make your image better than the poor phone's camera, but we are often to tired to really see things and life. And that is what I'm learning every single day - not just to look, but to see.
