Location
Photo taken in Devetaki cave in Bulgaria, Europe.Time
Taken in the morning at soft light.Lighting
In this part of the day the sun enters the holes and can reach a maximum detail of the texture of the cave, and that was my idea.Equipment
For this photo I used a tripod Sirui, camera Nikon D600 and Nikon lens 16-35 f4Inspiration
This picture was in my head for a long time, but not enough time to shoot this charming place during my photo excursions. And I decided to devote time and get everything as I imagined it. I have always admired the beauty of this cave.Editing
Of course to create such a picture you have a lot of work on a computer. Post processing is an integral part of digital photography. Here I shot three frames at different exposure. Each frame is processed in Adobe Camera Row, then I manually assembled them with layers and luminosity masks in Photoshop, as I have used Google Nik Software for final processing. In my camera bag
I always carry with me my tripod Sirui. In my bag always stands my Nikon D810 camera and two lenses Nikon 14-24 f2.8 and Nikon 70-200 f4. An important part of my equipment are filters. I use ND and gradient ND filters Lee. Last but not least is the remote control.Feedback
My advices are: First, to make good image you have to create good composition, I think it is the most important thing. Always use solid tripod. Shoot at least three frames with different exposure. Do not use ISO higher than 400, to have no noise in the image, it would be a problem in post processing. It is important aperture is over f11 but not too closed to shoot sharp image with maximum detail. Good post processing will help to create a beautiful picture.
