Behind The Lens
Location
The photo was taken in Northern Ireland, in Florence Court park, Co.Fermanagh, on the last day of October. It was one of those rare sunny days in Northern Ireland and the light was perfect, showing off all the beautiful colours of autumn.Time
That was around 11 am, when the sun was high enough to provide the right amount of light and at the right angle where both the colours and details of the nature in the park were highlighted and exposed. I especially wanted to use natural lightning as it provides softness to the picture, making it more fairytale like.Lighting
As mentioned earlier, natural lightning was used in this photo. Use of natural light in this picture forms impossible to stage and imitate play of lightning ans shade, shining from behind the leaf and naturally darkening the other half of it. It also provides softness and warmth to the photo highlighting the colours of the leaf.Equipment
This was shot using Canon 1100D with the standard lens 18-55mm. The nature did the rest.Inspiration
I am a big fan of Mother Nature work, and I find it easy to see something amazing ,that just waits to be captured. I really plans what I will shoot, I usually find it during my walks.Editing
No, there was no need to in my opinion. At the time of taking the photograph, I focussed on taking advantage of all of the natural resources, such as lighting, weather and appropriate positioning of the camera. In my camera bag
As I like to walk, and take advantage of the moment, I usually take with me only basic equipment such as my camera with the basic lens on it, and sometimes a tripod for the on the ground macro photographs. I also use polariser filter, and a hood when the light is especially bright.Feedback
Plan where you want to go, and try to check beforehand what is there that will interest you. I visit that park very often so I had the chance to really get to know it and understand where the most interesting and unexpected pictures might be taken. I would suggest spend some time to prepare, and expect and take advantage of all of the opportunities you might encounter to take photographs. And lastly, enjoy! The more fun and enjoyment the better photos and more opportunities you will get.
