Seeing hot-air balloons flying over Bagan is one of the iconic images of Myanmar, Burma. The massive scale of the over 3000 temples on the Bagan plain mean that you can only truly witness the scale of it all from the air, and a slowly floating over is the best way of doing it.

The Photo was taken in Bagan, Myanmar during my travel last year 17-18 October 2015. Due to the nature of my profession as Free Lance Consultant, I was able to travel in different countries for a short term project. I am just a hobbyist photographer who love photographs.Time
This was taken on 18 October 2015 at around 7:00 am while awaiting for the balloons at sunrise. I remember waking up around 4:30am to be able to witness the amazing balloons over Bagan during the sunrise time.Lighting
The foggy morning was really wonderful and the lighting is very dramatic. Beautiful balloons over Bagan is a gorgeous sunrise shot of an ancient temple in Myanmar.Equipment
I was armed with my Nikon D600, 28-300mm Nikon lens and Jussino Tripod. I am always using ambient light or natural source of light for most of my shots.Inspiration
Actually, I was looking for a place to shoot and famous places like Bagan is a dream come true. Sunrise and Temples in Bagan, Myanmar seem to overwhelm the landscape. I have seen several photographs in Bagan, which is really awesome and inspired me to visit the place in the future. Fortunately, I had got project in Yangon and plan my travel to Bagan. The buses departing Yangon at 8pm and arrives Bagan around 5am in the morning. The journey has definitely not been easy, but all the sacrifice has paid off very well in terms scenic place like Bagan.Editing
Yes, I do minor post processing using Lightroom to enhance colors, brightness and contrast. I am not an expert in post processing just a basic adjustment. In my camera bag
Usually, my camera and camera accessories. I don't bring much in my bag to be more comfortable during my shoot. I have 2 lens in my bag (28-300mm and 35mm 1.4), extra battery and multi-stop ND filter.Feedback
