Location
The photo was taken at Llanddwyn Island Anglesey of Twr Mawr Lighthouse.Time
It was taken as the sun set at 6pm in October 2015. It had been a dreadful cloudy afternoon but I waited and it paid off as the cliud broke up as the sun dropped to the horizen.Lighting
I wanted a golden hour shot of this lighthouse and it was worth the effort.Equipment
I used my Canon 5D mkii camera with the 24 to 105 lens set wide, ISo 100, 1/20 at f20. The camera was set on my Manfroto tripod.Inspiration
Anglesey is a beautiful Island with the most magnificent landscapes, I love taking images of Lighthouses and wanted to capture this one as the sunset. O ctober is a good time due to the postionof the sun as it sets.Editing
I used photoshop to provess the raw file. I enhanced the contrast, increased the clarity, tweaked the vibrance a little and sharpened the image a little finishing it with ropping a little tighter on the Lighthouse. In my camera bag
Canon 5dmk ii 24 to 105 and a 17 to 40L lens. I carry Lee filters a 10 stop and 6 sift grad filter. Manfroto tripod.Feedback
Use a sun seeker app to show the sunrise/sunset times and keep an eye on the tide times, you can get cut of on Llanddwyn Island. Sunrise or Sunset can provide you with some spectacular lighting, so it is worth the effort to walk the 30mins from the car park at Newborough Forest.
