Location
This image was captured at a Pub in Somerset. I am a development chef and this was part a feature my company did for an advertising campaign. This is one of the first food shots I did about 5 years ago.Time
This was captured around midday inside the pub. The a day it's self was a bit cloudyLighting
I used the natural light from the Pubs windows and skylight, however I did have lighting coming in from the right at about 45 degreesEquipment
The camera was a Canon 7d with a 24 to 105 lens. The camera was on a tripod and tether to a MAC book pro. I used a foil lid to get some bounce. I used wood flooring laminates on a table to give wood effect and I had a clamp to hold the chop sticks in place.Inspiration
I was working with the chef from the pub and the images just developed as we went onEditing
I converted from raw to jpeg and adjusted the levels slightlyIn my camera bag
I carry canon 5d mark iii, tripod, lens 24 to 105 and a 100 - 400Feedback
Get your lighting right. Think about the composition and make sure the food is not over cooked
