My granddaughter is looking at your photos with me and we both love the squirrel photos, but this one is the best.

Awesome capture! I had never seen a squirrel do that until the other day when I was watching the birds and a squirrel came for the food and did exactly that. Then I saw your photo and title. Nicely done!

Location
I took this from my sunroom. We get alot of wildlife, everything from squirrels to deer, so it makes a good blind. The animals can see me but they get comfortable with having me there. This is good for me since I have limited mobility and it's difficult to go looking for animals.Time
This photo was taken mid afternoon. Alot of the animals start showing up then. I don't get many animals at dawn. I was facing west into the sun.Lighting
I shot using natural light.Equipment
I use an Olympus PEN E PL5. I'm not sure of the lense that I used. It was probably my zoom lense. I didn't use any other equipment since it was spur of the moment shot.Inspiration
I had never seen a squirrel laying done to eat. Since then, I have seen a few squirrels doing this. They are usually pregnant females.Editing
I adjusted the contrast but did nothing else.In my camera bag
Besides my camera, I use three lenses; a 40-150 mm zoom, a 14-42 mm and a17 mm.Feedback
Be patient. Once the animals get used to you you can get some great shots. Also study the animals' habits. By doing this, you can sometimes predict what they are going to do.
