This was taken in the New Mexico bad lands out side Cuba NMTime
About 12am to 2am on a cold march morning. It was about 40 degrees outside and a bright crisp night for starsLighting
Just the magic of meteors gracing my image. They showed up post process and really make the shot.Equipment
I used a canon T2i camera and a 14mm wide angle lens. Just patience and waiting in the cold are the only tricks to get amazing shots like this. It was about a 2 mile hike in to where the camera was placed and it was an amazing night.Inspiration
Getting out and exploring is an amazing thing. Never know what exactly you will get but the adventure is always worth it.Editing
Just star trail stacking. In my camera bag
I slep about 5 cameras with me on a trek like this. Usually my legacy crop sensor cameras that I have. I will have 2 eos-m cameras for 3d images. T3i, T2i and my 5D III. The 5d does an amazing job for milkyway. Tripods galore. I would say the camera gear setup takes about 30 minuets when all said and done. A flash or two and some toys for light painting too. It is alot of gear but I prefer to live with the principal of go big or don't go.Feedback
Get out! Do it!
