Location
My son was on his way to his Homecoming Dance and he is sitting in our 1978 MGB in our driveway.Time
This is early evening as he was getting ready to leave for the dance. The top was down on the MGB so it allowed for lots of natural lighting.Lighting
I love shooting late in the day, but this photograph was not planned. He just happened to be looking in the mirror and I took the shot. I had just been taking photos of him all dressed up for the dance.Equipment
This was taken with a Nikon N64 Film camera. Black and White 35 mm Film. The lens is a Tamron 28-300 and I still use this lens on my digital camera.Inspiration
My son always inspires me and I thought this was a neat composition.Editing
No. This was developed in a darkroom. In my camera bag
I Travel a lot and I really like the 28-300 lens because it is so versatile. I do not have to carry several lenses and I do not have to keep changing lenses. It took me awhile, but I was finally able to find the D90 which accommodates the motor on the lens.Feedback
I know you could pose this shot, but for me it is more fun to keep my eyes open and be ready to capture things as they unfold.
