Location
This was taken , a few years ago , in Phnom Pehn, Cambodia. This was the Lake , at the north end of town , prior to it being drained and developed into a land mass for office blocks etc. The lake was full of reeds and young locals would take you out in dug-out boats , for a dollar. This was the view from one of the many wooden hotel/guesthouses on the lake , all of which are now gone . Check out the sad history, on Google , of how a whole community was 'cleared out ' in a rather distasteful way .Time
The photo was taken at sunset , so l estimate .....about 6 ish. I was staying at the Drunken Frog guest house , from where this was taken. I really miss that wonderful establishment and the regular , changing sunsets.Lighting
We have all viewed sunsets in various locations . We all know that there is an optimum time for capturing the best shot. Various cameras , will produce various results.Equipment
The photo was taken on a pocket camera. It was borrowed from a travelling companion , who elected me to log the journey with his camera. It was a Vivitar ....ViviCam X 30. f/4 1/150 sec ISO-64 No flash.Inspiration
I am constantly looking at the world through my minds eye...as if l was looking through a lens. When l see something that l like , l contemplate all the prerequisites of composing a picture worthy of publication. NOT every attempt is successful, but we must keep trying.Editing
I tweaked the colouration on my Samsung galaxy Tablet. In my camera bag
The equipment l carry depends on where l am going , how long l am going for and how much l can carry. I had a multitude of cameras , lenses and accessories .....in the old days .....till they all got stolen out of storage , along with over 50 years of photos and negatives.......... ( which were destroyed ) . But , nowadays , l change equipment often......depending on finances and experimentation with new devices.Feedback
Patience......and / or speed. An eye for detail. An appreciation of angles. Imagination. Experimentation.
